- Intestinal (acute greenish diarrhoea), joint (drooping wings and shrunken legs),
- Organic (affecting vital organs)
- Nervous (loss of balance, paralysis, neck turns similar to those caused by paramyxovirosis).

Salmonellosis is spread through food, water, by air, and through the eggshell.

Without a doubt, preventing this disease and treating it as soon as the slightest symptom appears is very important to avoid major problems. If salmonellosis spreads through our loft or aviary, it can cause many casualties.

◈ How and When to use Prowins SalmoX Extra

One of the strengths of this product is its effectiveness in preventing these diseases; but this can only be achieved with regular and proper use of the product. It is for this reason that it is recommended to use it throughout the year.

As a preventative:

- During breeding, 2 ml per liter of water, 5 days every 3 weeks.
- During the incubation of the eggs, 3 ml / per liter of water, for 6 days, in this way we will ensure that the chicks are born free of these two ailments
- During weaning, 3 ml /per liter of water, for 6 consecutive days; with this we will ensure that the weaned chicks are clean of these two diseases.
- During the competition season, 2 ml per liter of water, for 3 consecutive days, to reduce the risk of illness during this important time of the year
- During moulting season, 3 ml /per liter of water, for 6 consecutive days just before the start of the moult; we will repeat the treatment during the moult (more or less halfway through the process) and finally, we will repeat a last treatment or treatment at the end of the moult

In case of illness:

If we observe pigeons with symptoms or we suspect that there are infected pigeons, we will apply a treatment, distinguishing the following cases:

- E-Coli treatment: 3 ml per liter of water, for 7 consecutive days, combined with a probiotic.
- Treatment of Salmonella and digestive infections: 3 ml per liter of water, for 5-7 consecutive days and we will also combine it with a probiotic.
- Treatment of Adeno-coli (disease of the young pigeon): 3 ml (for 30 pigeons), ensuring that they drink all the water in the day

 TIP: 

In case of acute illness, when we have sick pigeons, that do not eat enough food or that suffer from a very acute poor general condition, we can combine Prowins SalmoX with Prowins Probibac Forte; This will greatly increase the effectiveness of the treatment.
Just dissolve a small amount of Probibac Forte in a small amount of water and, with the help of a syringe, apply directly to the beak for 3 consecutive days. After these 3 days of shock, we will apply Probibac Forte with the normal dose for 7 more days. The results are spectacular.
