Many bird breeders struggle with a very difficult problem to solve: Mortality in the nest during the first weeks of life.

For years, Dr. Peter Coutteel has worked with breeders from around the world with the aim of reducing the mortality rate in the nest during the breeding period. After years of study and trials, he developed a product called Flagellamix, which for years has been the preferred solution for thousands of breeders worldwide.

Sweat Disease
During the first weeks of life, the birds can present bacterial diarrhea, which causes the nest to be very dirty and humid. Because of this, the mother usually has wet the lower part of her body with which she protects the birds (hence the colloquial name of "sweat disease"). Birds stop growing, weaken and end up dying.

How to fight this problem
Dr. Peter Coutteel has determined that the most effective way to combat this problem is to administer a Starter Mix treatment to the couples during the first week of life of the young birds.

The birds are too fragile to withstand a direct treatment, but if we provide it through the parents, they assimilate it perfectly and mortality rates are reduced dramatically.

How to apply the treatment
During the first week of life of the young birds, administer 4 g of Starter Mix per liter of water to couples. In case of diarrhea in subsequent weeks, apply the same dose and a treatment of 7 consecutive days.
