Oropharma Calci-Lux is a high quality, water soluble source of calcium. It is a dietary supplement that is administered for good egg shell formation, good skeletal development in young birds, during the breeding season to help prevent egg-binding and also in cases of calcium deficiency or calcium tetany.

Calcium is an essential element in the birds body especially for the correct functioning of the nervous system. Calcium deficiencies in birds regularly result in serious health problems. If the bird has calcium deficiency it can cause de-calcification of the skeleton and bone deformation. A calcium deficiency for the hen during the breeding period results in poor egg shell formation and can contribute to egg-binding.

Directions for use:
Preventive: 1 level measure (4g) twice a week per 100g Orlux eggfood or per 250ml drinking water.
Before and during the breeding season: 2 level measures (8g) daily per 100g Orlux eggfood or per 250ml drinking water.
In case of a calcium deficiency: 3 level measures (12g) daily per 100g Orlux eggfood or 250ml drinking water.
